[1835] - Cloud Platform Engineer

About the Role

At Staffy, we are looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer (Azure) to join a Cloud Engineering team, owning the reliability, automation, and security of a modern Azure-based infrastructure.

In this role, you will operate at the intersection of platform engineering, DevOps, and SRE, building scalable cloud foundations while ensuring high availability and performance across the platform.

This is a highly hands-on position where you will focus on automation, infrastructure as code, observability, and security, helping eliminate operational toil and enabling engineering teams to move faster and more reliably.

Responsibilities

• Automate infrastructure and operational processes using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Bicep

• Manage the full lifecycle of Azure resources (provisioning, configuration, governance, optimization)

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep

• Configure and secure App Registrations, Managed Identities, and service principals

• Implement and enforce security and compliance best practices (Zero Trust, RBAC, policies)

• Monitor systems and improve performance, latency, and cost efficiency

• Implement observability solutions using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and OpenTelemetry

• Collaborate with engineering, security, and architecture teams

• Support incident response and continuously improve platform reliability

Requirements

• 5–9 years of experience in Cloud, DevOps, or SRE roles

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure

• Expertise in Azure DevOps (YAML pipelines, Repos, Boards, Artifacts)

• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell for automation and operations

• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Bicep

• Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, AKS, Helm)

• Experience with Azure networking and resource configuration (VNet, NSG, Front Door, Private Link)

• Strong understanding of cloud security, governance, and compliance

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools

• Ability to work in a hands-on, highly technical environment

Key Skills

• 5+ years of experience managing Azure cloud infrastructure and platform engineering practices

• Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps

• Advanced PowerShell scripting for automation, compliance, and infrastructure management

• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Bicep in production environments

• Experience implementing observability and security practices across cloud platforms
